DASS Metal Products core business model consists of various product offerings, which can range from studs, tracks, slotted tracks, z-bars and resilient channels to drywall accessories, carrying channels, bridging clips as well as expand mental laths. The products we manufacture are CSSBI Certified and Canadian tested. Our offerings cater to a wide demographic of customer bases within the residential, commercial, and industrial markets within our current targeted markets in Canada and United States, both in retail and wholesale basis. This can include apartments, mixed-use, dormitories, hotels, commercial offices, hospitals and many more.Summary:Dass architecture/ engineering team will focus on adding value, creating positive experiences, and expanding the professional capabilities through collaboration that introduces architecture strategy and addresses challenges faced by architecture practitioners/project stakeholders.Goals and Expectations:The following items represent the ultimate outcomes of our collective efforts.Connect architectural / engineering practitioners with the Metal stud industry professionals (such as architecture, engineers, and installers) to develop strong relationships and provide access to critical knowledge on both sides.Develop relationships with regional and national design organizations to provide them access to resources and information while also gaining access to the larger architectural and engineering community.Make the entire architectural / engineering community aware of the resources offers, the advantages of designing with Steel studs, and the network of our members who can provide real-time cost and scheduling information.Collaborate with and support building specialists to create and disseminate appropriate architecture-based strategy.Essential responsibilities include the following but not limited to:Build on the professional capabilities of Dass’s Market Development team by leveraging architecture / engineering industry knowledge, understanding of design, and professional architecture networks.Develop a strategic plan for your specific market while contributing to the broader departmental and institute goals.Focus on establishing and building connections with the architecture / engineer’s audience through one-on-one, one-on-many, lunch and learns and local events engagements with various project stakeholders in the community. Document communication and other activities with designers and industry partners.Share industry knowledge by actively contributing content to professional social media platforms, as well as writing articles for industry publications and speaking at industry events.Participate as part of Dass architectural / engineering team in industry design competitions.Through collegial collaboration, develop a yearly marketing campaign in assigned markets highlighting the relevance of steel in addressing sustainability, design, and construction goals.Research and develop content that captures the Metal stud industry expertise, trends, and innovations for the purpose of presenting, as a subject matter expert, at high-profile architecture and design conferences.Qualification requirements:A degree in architecture/ engineering and a drive to advocate for collaboration and in finding intersections between the Metal stud industry and the interests of architects/ engineering in order to better inform the design process.A minimum of two years of experience in traditional architecture or working in non-traditional architecture fields but with a focus on influencing building design. Licensure, or working towards licensure, is encouraged, and supported but not required.Unafraid to imagine, communicate, create, and execute strategies that borrow on the architecture skill set in order to deploy strong narratives, gained expertise, or technical marketing content that appeal to an audience of architects and aligned Dass professionals.Perpetually curious, passionate about people and design, obsessed with creativity, and an edge in exercising thought leadership.A belief that architecture / engineering transcends traditional practice and that designers can lead within the adjacent steel industry as contributors to improving design in the built environment.An interest in developing authority and subject matter expertise in steel design and construction.A willingness to challenge the status quo both inside (the Metal stud industry) and outside (architects/ engineering) in order to foster innovation, raise the visibility of Metal stud industry breakthroughs, and augment the contributions of Metal stud in the built environment.Comfort in networking, developing, and maintaining relationships, and public speaking.Ability to communicate effectively through conversation, writing, and presentations.Possess a self-starting, entrepreneurial spirit and be able to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.Travel 30% typically and as needed.What We OfferOur success is built on the drive and dedication of our people.
