Our client is seeking an Intermediate -Senior Civil Engineering Technologist to join the Civil Division in their London or Kitchener, ON office. What you’ll be doing Reporting to the Civil Division Manager, you will work along side the other engineering and design staff on Land Development, Transportation, and Municipal Infrastructure engineering projects using Civil 3D and other design tools. You will be working on a variety of projects with exposure to all stages of a project from conception through construction. Specifically, you will: * Prepare detailed Civil 3D models * Prepare plan, profile, section and earthworks drawings * Provide a proactive advancement of design and modelling techniques * Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members including engineers, planners, and technical and administrative support staff * Occasionally work on field as required (approx. 80% office and 20% field work) The Details This is a full-time position based in London or Kitchener, Ontario. What you’ll bring: * Diploma in Civil Engineering Technology, Architectural Technology, or equivalent, * 4+ years experience in subdivision and site plan Land Development, transportation, and municipal infrastructure, * Proficiency in design and drafting of grading, servicing and stormwater management, * Proficiency in MS Word, Outlook, Excel, and AutoDesk Civil 3D, * Knowledge of OBC and municipal/provincial standards is considered a strong asset, * Excellent drafting skills, * Excellent attention to detail and accuracy, * Commitment to ongoing professional and personal growth; willingness to learn and develop new skills, * Strong verbal and written communication, organization and interpersonal skills, * Ability to work both independently with little supervision and in a team environment, and * Eligibility for registration with OACETT; C.Tech. or C.E.T. designation preferred.
