At Public Works, things are always changing, no two days are alike, and every job is different. You will have ample opportunity to work on a diversity of tasks, including repair, maintenance, and new installations relating to foundations, and wall, ceiling and floor construction. In addition, you will assist with repair and maintenance of roofs, exterior finishes, doors, windows, flooring, cabinets, interior trim and acoustical ceilings.Qualifications and ExperienceYou are currently enrolled in a Carpentry Apprenticeship Program recognized by the Nova Scotia Apprenticeship Agency.A valid Nova Scotia driver’s license is required.Safety training in the following are considered assets: Nova Scotia Occupational Health and Safety Act, Safety Orientation, First Aid Certification and CPR, WHMIS, Scaffolding Safety, Fall Protection (Basic and Scaffolding Practical), Confined Space Awareness, Elevating Work-Platforms.You are able to analyze information, identify relationships, and have ability to communicate clearly and effectively both verbally and in writing. Job Description:
We are looking for a dedicated and hardworking Laboratory Technician to join our team. As a Laboratory Technician, you will be responsible for conducting chemical and physical laboratory tests and experiments in order to develop new products or improve existing ones. You will also be responsible for analyzing data, recording results, and maintaining equipment in the laboratory.
Responsibilities:
– Conduct chemical and physical laboratory tests and experiments.
– Analyze data and interpret results.
– Record observations and results.
– Provide support to research and development projects.
– Maintain laboratory equipment and ensure it is in good working condition.
– Follow safety procedures and guidelines while working in the laboratory.
– Assist with other duties as needed.
