Job description: Job DescriptionCiveo Premium Services Employees LP is currently looking for a Carpenter Apprentice 3 rd or 4 th year, at our Acheson location. Reporting to Shop Foreman, this position is responsible for construction according to drawings by preparing layouts, materials, and assembly of materials as per best practice and/or specification. Day to day activities will include but are not limited to the construction/installation and maintenance of beams, floors, walls, roofs, exterior and interior finishing.Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Journeyman Certificate or apprenticeship, non-ticketed 3 rd and 4 th year carpenters will be considered with relevant experience.
- At least three years’ experience as a carpenter preferably in residential, commercial, light industrial construction and renovation industries with a preference given to Camp/Mobile Accommodations experience.
- Preference will be given to candidates with certificates in Fall Protection (OSSA), Confined Space (OSSA), Aerial Work Platform, Working at Heights, Forklift, Scissor/Boom Lift, Rigging and Hand Signaling, and Standard First Aid.
- Experience with EPDM and Dec-Tec roofing installation
- Carpentry production carpentry would be ab asset.
- Good math and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Outstanding critical thinking skills.
- Specialized knowledge and experience working with modular structures.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with others.
- Flexibility and adaptability.
- Physically fit and able to lift up to 50 lb. on a consistent basis.
