  • Lead and supervise a team of carpenters, assigning tasks and providing guidance to ensure efficient project completion.
  • Coordinate with superintendents to understand project requirements, timelines, and budgets.
  • Adhere to schedules and report any issues with timelines to the Superintendent.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, and construction plans to execute carpentry tasks accurately.
  • Perform quality carpentry work. Includes framing, formwork, finishing carpentry, and other tasks as required.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations on job sites, promoting a safe working environment. This includes ensuring a respectful and inclusive work environment.
  • Conduct regular inspections to maintain quality control and identify areas for improvement.
  • Monitor project progress, track materials, and equipment, and report updates to the superintendent.
  • Collaborate with subcontractors, and other professionals to resolve technical issues and ensure project success.
  • Report poor performance of subcontractors to your superintendent.
  • Train and mentor new & junior carpenters, assisting in their skill development and fostering a positive work environment.
  • Ensure accurate materials are delivered on time and secured on-site against damage or theft.
  • Always adhere to company policies and procedures.

Requirements/Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a carpenter, with a minimum of 5 years (7200 logged hours) of experience in commercial/residential construction (Journeyman or Apprentice Carpenter Certificate).
  • Red Seal an asset.
  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to effectively manage and motivate a team.
  • Team player with the ability to lead by example.
  • Proficiency in reading and understanding blueprints, sketches, and construction plans.
  • Excellent knowledge of carpentry techniques, tools, and materials
  • Solid understanding of construction codes, safety regulations, and best practices.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Outstanding problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
  • Safety conscious.

Job Description:

Communicate directly with various stakeholders (clients, vendors, executives) to gather requirements, offer support, and build relationships.

Manage and maintain databases by entering, updating, and verifying data to ensure accurate and timely information is available.

Create and generate reports to analyze data and present findings to key stakeholders.

Support the sales team by researching prospective clients, assisting with proposals, and responding to inquiries.

Provide administrative support by scheduling meetings, managing calendars, and coordinating travel arrangements.

Assist with event planning and coordination, including logistics, vendors, and on-site support.

Contribute to team projects by providing input, feedback, and assistance as needed.

Other duties as assigned or required.

Requirements:

Demonstrated experience in a similar role with strong communication, organization, and data management skills.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and ability to quickly learn new software applications.

Strong attention to detail, ability to multitask, and work in a fast-paced environment.

Excellent time management skills and ability to meet deadlines.

Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Flexibility to work occasional evenings and weekends as needed.

Ability to travel occasionally for events or client meetings.

Positive attitude, team player, and willingness to go above and beyond to support the team.

Expected salary: $28 – 33 per hour
