WHEN YOU JOIN US, YOU WILL BE;

  • Actively seeking and downloading projects to estimate from construction association websites
  • Analyzing blueprints and other documentation to assemble accurate estimates and proposals while ensuring that all estimates meet the requirements of the material specified or an equivalent
  • Responsible for generating estimates for commercial/residential roofing and exterior cladding projects
  • Ensuring that estimates take into consideration provincial building code and municipal building regulations as outlined in the specifications
  • Adhering to contractual terms and conditions on various aspects of commercial/residential building projects
  • Collecting historical cost data to estimate costs for current or future products and managing the material costing database
  • Working in conjunction with Sales Reps to ensure proper material lead times are documented for the client as well as opportunities/costs to make changes to their orders
  • Making sure that all projects estimated are input into Sales Force and are updated when new information is presented by sales staff or customers
  • Preparing shop drawings that are related to the project for architectural and customer approvals
  • Making any necessary adjustments to outstanding quotations as price increases or changes to products that have been quoted are announced.

OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE;

  • Graduate from a recognized engineering, architectural or construction management program is an asset (Technician or Technologist) with working knowledge of AutoCAD
  • Experience working in the construction field in a similar or related position is an asset.
  • General Commercial/Residential Roofing Knowledge is an asset.
  • Ability to analyze information closely, estimate, plan, and pay attention to detail.
  • Estimating knowledge – ability to read architectural plans and specifications a big asset
  • Experience with sloped/tapered roof insulation or siding an asset.
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills.
  • Have a working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
  • Experience with any Estimating Software is a benefit

Job Description:

Property Manager

We are looking for a skilled Property Manager to manage the daily operations of various buildings and properties in the Toronto area. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the properties are well-maintained and fully occupied, while also maintaining a positive relationship with tenants.

Key Responsibilities:
– Manage day-to-day operations of properties, including leasing, maintenance, and tenant relations
– Oversee maintenance and repairs of properties, ensuring they are up to code and well-maintained
– Manage rent collection and account receivables, ensuring all payments are processed in a timely manner
– Conduct regular property inspections to ensure compliance with company policies and regulations
– Resolve tenant issues and complaints in a timely and professional manner
– Work closely with vendors and contractors to coordinate repairs and renovations as needed
– Update and maintain property management software to track leases, payments, and other important information
– Keep up-to-date with local rental market trends and adjust rents as needed to remain competitive
– Perform other duties as assigned by management

Qualifications:
– Minimum 2 years of experience in property management or a related field
– Strong knowledge of landlord-tenant laws and regulations
– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
– Strong organizational and time management skills
– Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively
– Proficiency in property management software and Microsoft Office suite
– Valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle
– Bilingual in English and French is an asset
