- Prepare comprehensive cost estimates, considering materials, labor, and subcontractor costs.
- Analyze project risks, issues, and contingencies for accurate estimates.
- Present estimates to clients, explaining scope, costs, and considerations.
- Coordinate with procurement and subcontractors for competitive pricing.
- Maintain accurate records of estimating activities.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of proven experience as an Estimator in the glassing or construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of glassing projects and installation methods.
- Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings and specifications.
- Excellent mathematical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Attention to detail and proficiency in estimating software.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work independently under tight deadlines.
- Comfortable looking at Storefronts, custom glass, doors, windows, railings
- Experience working with $250k-$5 million with $1-2 million as the average
- Familiar with PartnerPak and Bluebeam
