Job description: Position: Estimator – Quotation Specialist
Location: StratfordAre you detail-oriented with a passion for numbers? We are seeking a motivated Estimator – Quotations Specialist to join our growing team! In this role, you’ll play a crucial part in analyzing project costs, ensuring that we deliver quality work on budget and on time. Must be comfortable working in a smaller environment that has the feel of a family run business.What You’ll Do:– Review project plans and specifications to prepare accurate estimates for materials, labor, and other project costs.
– Produce 2D CAD drawings as per customer specifications.
– Generate quotations as per drawing requirements and customer specifications.
– Work closely with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to gather necessary information and clarify project requirements.
– Create detailed proposals and bid documents, presenting estimates to clients and stakeholders.
– Stay updated on industry trends and pricing to ensure competitiveness and accuracy in estimates.
– Identify potential risks in projects and provide recommendations to mitigate them.Qualifications:– Bachelor’s degree in construction management, Windows and Doors, Engineering, or a related field (preferred).
– 3-5 years experience managing approximately 20 quotes/estimates per day.
– Previous experience in estimating using AutoCAD required.
– Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and proficiency in estimating software and tools.
