Your Role on our Team:The Estimator is responsible for providing support on all costing and budgeting-related construction projects while assisting designers and trades with products and materials for Homeowners when building their residential homes.In this role, you will:

• Assists in compiling and coordinating drawings and specifications in accordance with the tender documents;
• Contributes to client/in-house design briefs;
• Facilitates cost control in design development budgets;
• Prepares, monitors, and updates construction budgets;
• Prepares and reviews construction cost estimates from initial design stage to final working drawings;
• Prepares and manages tender packages which include scopes of work and tender documentation for the trades;
• Prepares the tender analysis based on submitted tenders from the Trades;
• Receives, reviews and analyses Purchases Change Requests (PCR);
• Prepares Purchasers change order based on reviewed Purchases Change Requests (PCR);
• Other duties within the scope, spirit, and purpose of the job, as requested by management.

We would like you to have:

• Working towards a University Degree (Civil Engineering, Architectural or Engineering degree or related discipline) or a College Diploma (Construction Management, Civil Engineering Technologist or related discipline)
• Microsoft Office (Word, Excel), Outlook
• On Screen Takeoff computer programming is an asset
• Knowledge of residential construction (single-family residential)
• Occupational Health and Safety Act
