Job description: Busy custom framing company looking for experiences finisher.Company profile:The Gilder has been providing a top quality custom framing service to artists, collectors, art galleries and museums in Canada for over 30 years. We specialize in producing hardwood frames in variety of finishes, stained, painted and water gilded, and are experienced in conservation framing.We are looking for a talented individual interested in art and in framing.Experience in working with solid wood. Proficient with table saw, shaper, joiner/thicknesser, router and other basic tools.
Tasks include cutting and joining frames, milling custom mouldings, selecting appropriate grade of lumber, sanding.
Experience spraying waterbourne finishes such as pigmented lacquer and clear coat.
-Sanding and applying stains.3 years of finishing experience is preferred
