Job description: The ClientThis well-established general contractor in the ICI industry has been delivering high-quality renovation and new build services for commercial and institutional projects in Hamilton, Halton, and the Niagara region for over 35 years. They have completed a wide range of projects including public and private schools, government buildings, and universities. As an Estimator, you will be responsible for managing the entire bidding process for ICI projects. This role will provide you with a solid foundation for a career in Estimating, and you will work closely with the Estimating team to prepare detailed estimates.Key Responsibilities

  • Work independently and with other estimators to prepare accurate and detailed estimates.
  • Read project specifications and contract documents.
  • Assist with and prepare the full on-screen quantity take-off of all labor, equipment and materials as per project specifications using AutoBid Mechanical software.
  • Receive, review and enter sub trade and supplier pricing in a detailed and organized manner using SmartBid software.
  • Use SmartBid software to post sub-trade and supplier bid invitations.
  • Prepare bid package for transfer to Purchasing upon job award.
  • Prepare detailed billing breakdowns on successful projects.
  • Attend tender site meetings, deliver tenders and;
  • Other duties as assigned.

Desired Skills & Experience

  • Experience with reading and interpreting large-scale project drawings and bid specifications.
  • Knowledge of construction industry standards and codes.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail, interpersonal and organization skills and high accuracy.

Position: Maintenance Technician

Location: Mississauga, Ontario

Salary: $25 – $28 per hour

We are looking for a Maintenance Technician to join our team in Mississauga, Ontario. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of equipment and machinery in our manufacturing facility.

Key Responsibilities:

– Perform preventive maintenance on equipment and machinery
– Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems
– Perform equipment setup and changeovers
– Document all maintenance activities and repairs
– Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations
– Participate in continuous improvement projects
– Work effectively with other team members

Qualifications:

– High school diploma or equivalent
– 2+ years of experience in industrial maintenance
