The Estimator will play a critical role in accurately estimating the costs of construction projects, preparing bids, and supporting the pre-construction process. This role requires a strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and cost analysis.Responsibilities:

  • Conduct detailed take-offs and quantity surveys from project plans.
  • Analyze construction specifications to determine materials and labor requirements.
  • Solicit and evaluate quotes from subcontractors and suppliers.
  • Develop accurate cost estimates and project budgets.
  • Prepare comprehensive bid proposals for clients.
  • Participate in pre-bid meetings and negotiations with stakeholders.
  • Maintain a comprehensive database of pricing information and cost data.
  • Collaborate with the project team to provide input on cost-effective solutions.
  • Support the project management team during the pre-construction phase.
  • Keep abreast of industry trends and changes in construction costs.

Qualifications:

  • Strong analytical and mathematical skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications.
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree in construction management or a related field is preferred.
  • Familiarity with local building codes and regulations.
