Job description: We are currently looking to fill a Inside Sales/Warehouse Material Handler position at our branch in northern Calgary. This is a unique dual-role where the individual will work in both the sales and operations sides of the business.This position will play a key role on the sales desk selling building materials to our clients including general contractors, home builders, and drywall, insulation and roofing contractors and will also be expected to operate a forklift and work in the yard/warehouse in all weather conditions to load and unload building materials.INSIDE SALES
- Greet customers, answer phone, respond to emails on the sales desk
- Provide assistance to customers through quoting and ordering process
- Produce packing slips for pick-up, delivered, or direct transactions
- Advise customers on use and care of merchandise
- Maintain customer files
- Execute the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) process
- Keep up to date with new products
- Accept payment as outlined by Sales Policy and Procedure Manual
- Organize showroom merchandise
- Review stocking levels and ensure quantity is reasonable
- Design Showroom for client purchase optimization
- Complete opening and closing tasks
- Other duties as directed by the Branch/Operations Manager
WAREHOUSE MATERIAL HANDLER
- Operate propane forklift to load and unload building materials
- Pick orders
- Serve pick up customers
REQUIREMENTS
- High School Diploma
- Previous experience in sales
- Able to lift up to 75lbs including drywall and roofing shingles
- Excellent customer service
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
- Must pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol test
- Must submit a satisfactory criminal record check
