  • Conducting user research and using data as input throughout the design thinking process
  • Designing the user’s experience from rapid prototypes to hi-fidelity pixel perfect mock-ups
  • Validate ideals and designs using split A/B test and product performance data
  • Ensure the UX reflects the users’ needs and maintain consistency among features
  • Provide highly detailed communication of design principles and specifications to software developers
  • Ensure all digital assets reflect Search Engine Optimization (SEO) best practices
  • Advise on user interface best practices to meet performance and client requirements
  • Driving the UX best practices throughout the organization while always leading with the user’s best interests in mind

Formal Education

  • Post secondary degree or diploma preferred in related area

Related Experience

  • 5 years in UX design experience
  • Must have proven work portfolio that demonstrates creative design thinking as well as deep understanding of UI/UX best practices
  • Working knowledge of Adobe XD, Sketch, Invision, Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects or other visual design and wire-framing tools, with clear understanding of interaction design principles and process
  • Good practical experience with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript for rapid prototyping
  • Excellent understanding of SEO principles, cross-browser compatibility issues, Google AdWords and Analytics
  • Experience working with large websites, content management systems (WordPress), and backend frameworks (.NET, PHP)
  • Experience with Microsoft DevOps, and Agile development processes is an asset
  • Experience with PHP is an asset
