Responsibilities include preparation, organization, and maintenance of all site related issues, monitoring budgets, change notices/orders and procurement as well as subcontractor coordination. Other duties include progress reporting, schedule development and general administration.What You’ll Do Here
- Oversee the project from site.
- Ensure that construction is budget is adhered to. Identify budget issues as construction progresses and report to project team.
- Make sure installations are completed on time and are of good quality.
- Determine the required manpower, equipment and material resources needed to maintain schedule.
- Work with site supervisors to develop 2-week plans for the project.
- Monitor construction processes and adjust schedules as needed.
- Monitor quality standards and implement quality-control programs.
- Ensure that health and safety guidelines are followed.
- Supervise and motivate a team of workers.
- Review supervisor performance.
- Identify training needs.
- Other duties and responsibilities as required.
What You Bring to the Team
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a Site Supervisor.
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience in the electrical industrial sector is preferred.
- Experience or Trade Certification in an Electrical or Civil discipline (or optional).
- Knowledge in the construction of electrical and substation facilities.
- Demonstration of successful completion of construction projects.
- A willingness to travel, often to remote areas where projects are located.
- A safe work environment.
- Computer skills, including a working knowledge of scheduling (MS Project), MS Word and Excel software applications, etc.
- Ability to balance competing priorities in a fast-paced environment in order to meet deadlines.
- Excellent organization skills.
- Strong leadership capabilities, teamwork skills, interpersonal and communication skills.
