Altogether, Tremco CPG companies operate 21 manufacturing facilities, 6 distribution sites, and 3 R&D/technology sites, and employ more than 2,700 people across North America.GENERAL PURPOSE OF THE JOB:The incumbents main responsibilities will be to mix raw materials and make batches of finished products as directed to meet operation targets.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Huddle with TL to get direction on what work needs to be done.
- Machine assignment (mixer) based on skills, experience, and priority.
- Mixes batches according to standard work instructions and orders.
- Gather materials needed, adding raw materials to mixer according to instructions. This involves the use of hazardous materials and use of equipment such as material movement equipment (ex. Scales, pumps, hoists, forklifts, vacuum systems, wash systems, or other specialized equipment)
- Run tests according to process order instructions. (ex. Colour testing, viscosity, moisture etc.)
- Scrape mixer, clean blades to remove any materials.
- Prepare tank for the next stage.
- Follow 5S standards.
- Sweeping, mopping, cleaning tools, tidy work area, paperwork (keying production into SAP).
- Follow safe work procedures and practices.
- Recognize and report hazards.
- Attend health and safety meetings.
- Participate in training, audits and inspections.
- Comply with legal duties and Tremco safety policies and procedures.
- All employees are liable under the Criminal Code of Canada as well as the Occupational Health and Safety Act to take every reasonable precaution in the circumstances for the protection of workers .
EDUCATION:
- No prior education required.
EXPERIENCE:
- 0-2 years of previous experience.
- Experience working in a chemical manufacturing environment is preferred.
BENEFITS AND COMPENSATION:
- The hourly rate for applicants in this position generally ranges between $ 26.70 and $29.00. This range is an estimate, based on potential employee qualifications, operations, needs, and other considerations permitted by law.
- SHIFT PREMIUMS: Afternoon includes $0.80, Nights includes $1.10.
