Job description: Why do we need you ?POSITION SUMMARYReporting to Maintenance Engineering Manager, the manufacturing assistant is part of an 8-16-month program to get an introduction into manufacturing maintenance and engineering. The manufacturing assistant is responsible for performing various administrative and production related tasks in a manufacturing setting.ESSENTIAL DUTIES

• Maintain 5s and safe working environment.
• Work with various manufacturing and maintenance engineers, production operators and staff to improve overall manufacturing processes by implementing WCM & company standards.
• Provide support for operational and quality issues as required.
• Assist the team with identification of areas of improvement and suggest solutions.

OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Maintains work area in a professional manner.
• Aid other team members as needed
• Provides ideas to further the growth of the department.
• Performs other related duties that contribute to the success of the operation as assigned.

Minimum of 40 hours per week. Work hours are 8 am to 4 pm.Normal Plant operation is 24 hours, 7 days a week.PLANT SAFETY CULTURE REQUIREMENTSEmployee Safety Responsibilities Include but are not Limited to:

• Understand basic LOCK OUT TAG OUT principles
