What will my daily life look like?
- Meet or exceed sales and margin targets for the assigned territory.
- Use the available reports to help you manage a sales territory.
- Build strong relationships with customers by maintaining sales contacts as required by the position, including face-to-face meetings and site visits.
- Develop new business opportunities through prospecting calls.
- Develop and execute a comprehensive monthly and annual sales plan for their territory to service and expand our business with our existing customers as well as our new customers.
- Coordinate closely with our inside sales support team and vendors to plan and execute the promotion of products and services to our customers.
- Organize sales activities to maximize face-to-face sales time with the customer.
- Observe and benchmark other sales reps who are exceptional in all aspects of the sales process to utilize the skills needed in your sales territory.
- Demonstrate strong sales acumen and professionalism to positively impact all prospects and customers.
- Maintain Beacon’s social, ethical and organizational standards. Conduct business activity at all times in a manner consistent with the corporate culture of the Company.
- Drive sales growth through consistent daily effort.
- All other related tasks.
What are the requirements?
- Demonstrated record year-over-year sales growth.
- Strong ability to develop new business opportunities while maintaining existing sales.
- Must have excellent customer service skills and attitude.
- DEC or AEC in sales administration (an asset).
- Experience in residential or commercial sales, an asset, but not required.
- Experience in the construction materials distribution industry (an asset)
- Knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Internet, Word and Excel.
- Ability to learn and use Salesforce.
- Knowledge of Mincron (an asset) or ability to learn our inventory management system.
- Ability to learn product lines.
- Ability to create a good first impression, command attention and respect, and display an air of confidence.
- Be a self-starter able to take action to achieve goals.
- Take a sincere interest in what the client or prospect really needs to improve their business.
- Ability to adapt to competitive sales situations with little supervision and strong negotiation skills.

Position: Administrative Assistant

We are looking for a competent Administrative Assistant to help with the organization and running of the daily administrative operations of the company. The ideal candidate will be a hard-working professional able to undertake a variety of office support tasks and work diligently under pressure. Responsibilities:
– Answer and direct phone calls
