  • Assist in the development of cost estimates
  • Review plans, designs, bidding documents, and other technical documents
  • Evaluate contractor bids
  • Answer questions regarding the scope and/or timing of the project
  • Monitor costs and project progress
  • Maintain control of all project documentation
  • Create, manage and track RFI’s from the field to the architect/engineer of record
  • Maintain and update project records
  • Assist the project manager/superintendent in creating and distributing the project plan and schedule, as well as oversees the construction progress and scheduling
  • Assist project team with conflict resolution between owner, contractor, and subcontractor
  • Turn in submittals from subcontractors to Owner’s representative for approval
  • Coordinate project change-order management, creation, and negotiation
  • Conduct and document weekly project owner’s meetings and decisions
  • Provide technical support to construction staff under the supervision of the Project Manager
  • Assist the project team with site safety documentation and coordination
  • Assist the project team with closeout of the project
  • Assist project accountant with monthly subcontractor billings and pay applications
  • Assist project manager with assigned tasks.
  • Perform other related functions as required by Management

REQUIRED SKILLS

  • 5+ years of experience working as project engineer in an office or field role
  • Bachelor’s degree in construction management, mechanical, or electrical engineering or related field of study
  • Computer proficiency utilizing Microsoft Office Suite software (Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point) and other applicable software programs
  • Construction experience a plus but not required
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks independently
  • Proven ability to juggle multiple tasks and responsibilities while taking full ownership of their work
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and ability to meet deadlines

WORKING CONDITIONS

  • Full-time permanent position
  • Primary location of work in Saskatoon Office, Saskatchewan
  • Travel to various DCM office/sites across Western Canada will be required as needed
  • Various Rotations (Shift Cycle is subject to change)
  • Ability to lift and carry objects independently or as a team
  • Ability to meet and maintain site access requirements

DCM is seeking a Junior/Intermediate Project Engineer for their construction projects. The role involves assisting in cost estimates, reviewing technical documents, evaluating bids, monitoring project progress, and coordinating various aspects of construction projects. The ideal candidate should have 5+ years of experience in project engineering, a degree in a related field, strong communication and organizational skills, and the ability to work independently. The position is full-time, based in the Saskatoon office with travel required to various DCM sites in Western Canada. The role also includes physical tasks and flexibility in working hours.

As a Barista, you will be responsible for creating exceptional coffee drinks and providing exceptional customer service to our guests. The ideal candidate will have previous barista experience, be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, and possess excellent communication skills. Responsibilities:

– Prepare and serve high-quality coffee drinks according to established recipes
– Educate customers about our coffee offerings and answer any questions they may have
– Provide excellent customer service by greeting and assisting customers in a friendly and efficient manner
– Keep work area clean and organized, including stocking and replenishing supplies as needed
– Operate espresso machines and other equipment safely and efficiently
– Handle cash and credit card transactions accurately
– Follow all company policies and procedures to ensure a safe and welcoming environment for both staff and customers

Qualifications:

– Previous barista experience is preferred
– Strong knowledge of coffee and espresso beverages
– Excellent customer service skills
– Ability to work well in a team environment
– Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
– Flexibility to work varied shifts, including mornings, evenings, and weekends
