You will be aligned to our Ottawa office, however, will focus on the Sudbury / Northern ON area.As BAU/BAS Project Manager supporting the Sudbury / Northern ON, you will provide direction and supervision of Building Automation and Construction projects to ensure successful delivery. You will oversee project status, and work with other resources. This is a great opportunity for a Building Automation Specialist or Technician with direct experience, who wishes to move into a BAU Project Manager role!
- Oversee onsite and offsite constructions to monitor compliance with building and safety regulations.
- Manages and coordinate multiple projects according to the company’s established project management methodologies and tools.
- Develops project execution plan, detailed project schedules, incorporating critical timelines from construction requirements including work breakdown, structure, work package, and resource planning to achieve the defined milestones.
- Directs project technical teams through various stages including planning, estimating, designing, installation, start-up, commissioning, retrofit, turnover and warranty.
- Profitably manage project portfolio; manage revenue and gross margin.
- Act as main point of customer contact for project delivery and issues mitigation.

- Requires three years of college or technical school, Electrical or Mechanical or equivalent combination of education and related practical experience.
- 5+ years of direct experience working with Building Automation (BAU) and Building Automation Systems (BAS).
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certified with PMI or equivalent experience; or working toward is an asset.
- Designation or merit including P. Eng., LEED certification, CEM, CFAA or other industry relation designation is an asset.
- Good knowledge of building systems, mechanical systems and relevant standards.
- Proven diagnostic skills, able to systematically identify and resolve technical problems.
- Strong problem solving, analytical and quality-driven and decision-making abilities.
- Self-starter with strong organizational, interpersonal and communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work under time constraints and is able to adapt to change easily.
- Self-motivated and good time management skills; Calm under pressure.
- Proficient in use of MS Office, MS Outlook, MS Visio, and MS Project.
- Financial acumen (costing/ budgeting/ forecasting etc.)
- IT literate
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Valid drivers license is essential.
- Willing to travel up to 25% of the time.
