Job description: Our client is looking for a Senior Contract Manager to oversee complex construction contracts, as well as manage post award contract changes and claims – 19964Initially 12-months contract with chances of extension. Work onsite at Fort St John, BC (No Remote)Shift is 10/4, 10 hours per dayMust Have:
- 12+ years of contract change management experience with complex construction contracts, actively managing post award contract changes and claims.
- 15+ years experience as a Contract Manager
- Experience in managing commercial claims (delays, changes in scope, payment disputes, defective work)
- Experience working on construction sites, working directly with Construction Managers.
- Must have a Class 5 Driver’s License in good standing
Responsibilities:
- The resource will provide post-award contract management services on construction
- They will be a source of contractual expertise and guidance to the project team. Primary responsibilities will lie in the administration of contract changes, progress payments, and contract close-out.
- Managing contract changes and claims, drafting Change Orders, internal change justification documents, formal contract letters
- Detailing Contracts / SoQPs for monthly Progress Payment Estimates
- Progressing monthly invoices
- Ensuring contract details are up to date in SAP (with SAP admin support)
- Provide guidance on contractual rights and obligations, input on contractual disputes
- Work closely with procurement and provide input to draft RFx documents
- Occasional travel to remote sites across the province may be required.
