Job description: A DMP Artist is responsible for producing photographic representations of backgrounds, sets or any other element that could not be filmed as well as enhancement of CG elements.Requirements

  • Must be proficient with using Photoshop, Maya and Nuke
  • Strong knowledge of matte painting techniques including color space, digital paint techniques
  • Possess excellent artistic communication skills, as well as an excellent eye for detail
  • Flexibility to produce concept art from scratch
  • Solid knowledge and understanding of visual effects pipelines, production, and implementation
  • Must include your current resume and Demo reel with breakdowns

Responsibilities:

  • Creating 2D elements in Photoshop with excellent knowledge of perspective, colors/values, scale and atmosphere
  • Building proxy geo based on matchmove, scans or layouts
  • Projecting 2D elements on geometry in compositing software
  • Creating slap comps with DMP elements
  • Creating concept/photobashes
  • Using UV’s or compositing tools such as Smart Vector to apply 2D enhancements on moving geometry

Additional Requirements:

  • Must live in Ontario and already be eligible to work in Canada. It is not possible to provide work visa or relocation assistance for this position.
