The company is ISO 9001 – 14001 certified and a member of the Canada Green Building Council (CaGBC).Job DescriptionReporting to the Plant Manager, the Shipper/Receiver is responsible for all aspects surrounding the logistics of products and raw materials coming into and leaving the facility. This includes tracking and maintaining inventory and associated recordkeeping and filing. The Shipper/Receiver is also responsible for all communication with internal sales and customer service departments and external transport carriers.RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Picking orders and coordinating skids for shipping based on customer service and sales requirements
  • Create labels for all shipments
  • Ensure all shipments are organized, labelled and ready to leave the facility
  • Following Sika Canada’s procedures for completing shipments and closing the orders accordingly
  • Receive raw materials and intercompany transfers (domestic and international) and complete applicable process in SAP
  • Review and track Certificates of Analysis (COA) and enter data into SAP When receiving raw material or intercompany transfers, put items away in designated racking area of the facility
  • Safe operation of forklift and other plant equipment
  • Work safely at all times, adhering to all company safety policies (PPE, lock-out, confined space, safe lifting practices, etc.)
  • Inspections including racking and forklifts must be completed based on predetermined schedule (daily, weekly, monthy)
  • Inventory management including completing cycle counts and verifying received goods (and making adjustments as necessary)
  • Housekeeping duties including cleaning daily, disposal of plant waste and recycling, and cleaning between producing products
  • Assist Team Leader and plant management as required
  • Additional duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • High school diploma with 1 to 3 years of experience in a similar shipping role or warehousing environment
  • Computer literacy, and experience with SAP or other ERP systems an asset
  • Previous experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word etc.) an asset
  • Forklift certification an asset (will be trained by company)
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to problem solve and recognize errors or concerns in Sika’s products or procedures.
  • Strong ability to prioritize tasks, manage time effectively and adapt quickly to changing business needs
