We continue to attract great staff and clients, and that continued growth offers excellent opportunities for our exceptional team.Job Description:We are seeking a Sprinkler Estimator based out of our Cambridge location, GTA, Southwestern, Ontario.
The Sprinkler Estimator reports to the Sprinkler Manager with a dotted line report to the Sales Manager.Responsibilities:The Sprinkler Estimator prepares quotations based on reviewing construction drawings and specifications of fire protection systems, including but not limited to: Sprinkler systems, standpipe systems, fire pump and special fire suppression systems in accordance with codes.The role will provide estimates to existing and new customers based upon review of bid documents, site reviews for both plan and specifications and design build opportunities. This role is also responsible for the project management of successful tender opportunities including ordering of material, project schedule, pricing of project extras, project meeting and maintaining as-built drawings. Occasional site visits/pre-bid walkthroughs may be required.Minimum Requirements:
- Knowledge of sprinkler system design.
- Educational background in Fire Protection or similar field an asset.
- Knowledge of general construction process and terminology.
- Ability to read blueprints.
- Sound knowledge of the relevant and applicable Ontario building codes and NFPA.
- Superior math and analytical skills.
- Ability to communicate and work well with architectures, clients and contractors.
- Excellent time management skills.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work under pressure.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Analytical, thorough, resourceful and detail oriented.
