Job description: JOB DESCRIPTION:
Reporting to the Project and Construction managers, you will be rebuilding residential and commercial jobsites.Job Duties:
– Measure, cut and fit drywall sheets on walls and ceilings and install insulation and vapour barrier as required
– Fill joints, nail indentations, holes and cracks with joint compound
– Texture (machine spray paint) ceilings for construction projects as indicated
– Apply paint, stains, lacquers, enamel, oil, varnish, fiberglass, metal coating or fire retardant using brushes, rollers or spray equipment
– Install casing, baseboards, cabinetry, closet shelving and interior doors as well as assisting with board-ups and framing
– Complete demolition of areas damaged by fire and water
– Build/repair exterior structures (fence, shed, decks, etc.)
– Basic electrical and plumbing to detach or reset fixtures
– Basic tile work (backsplash, entry ways, showers, etc.)
– Erect and dismantle concrete forms, scaffolding, ramps, catwalks, shoring and barricades
– Rough carpentry (framing, sub-floors)
– Protect and manipulate contents onsite in order to complete restoration
– Explain procedures to occupants/clients while supporting Winmar’s policies
– Prepare written and verbal reports to the Project Manager and the team regarding the status of work being completed
– Participate in regular on-call rotation for afterhours emergency services
– Other duties as required
Requirements:
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Must have CSA approved steel toe boots
Certain tools provided, must have hand tools
PPE will be supplied to you
Must be available to work full-time hours
Clean criminal background
Must have a valid drivers license and clean abstract
Qualifications:

– 2-3 years in restoration, or residential/commercial construction, or carpentry
– Skilled with hand and power tools
