The upcoming Surrey Langley Skytrain project is seeking public feedback on the design of eight stations that will be part of the new line. From June 18 to June 30, the public is encouraged to provide input on the station designs, entrances, and adjacent plazas through in-person open houses in Surrey and Langley, as well as a virtual information session.
The in-person open houses are scheduled as follows:
– Tuesday, June 18 at Hope Community Church in Surrey
– Thursday, June 20 at Hampton Inn and Suites in Surrey
– Saturday, June 22 at Fleetwood Community Centre in Surrey
– Wednesday, June 26 at Coast Langley City Hotel and Convention Centre in Langley
Additionally, a virtual open house will take place on June 24 from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Feedback can also be shared online from June 18 to June 30. This feedback will be used to finalize station designs through the municipal design advisory process. A second round of public engagement will occur in the fall to present the final designs, including details on landscaping and public art.
The Surrey Langley SkyTrain extension is set to begin major construction this year. This project is a significant development for the region, and public input is crucial in shaping the design and functionality of these new stations. Don’t miss your chance to have a say in this exciting project that will impact transportation in the area for years to come.
