The ideal candidate is responsible for leading the Scheduling team and will be responsible for the resourcing, planning, scheduling and programming of all aspects of a mega transit program in the Greater Toronto Region.What You’ll Be Doing:
- Develop, implement, and maintain project schedules using industry-standard scheduling software such as Primavera P6, TILOS or Microsoft Project.
- Manage the schedule development process for multiple packages, ensuring that schedules are accurate, up-to-date, and properly maintained.
- Conduct schedule analysis to identify potential risks/opportunities for improvement while providing strategic guidance on scheduling matters.
- Collaborate with project managers, construction managers, and other stakeholders to ensure that project schedules are aligned with overall project objectives.
- Assesses the impact(s) of design/construction changes and schedule slippages.
- Provide guidance and support to planning/scheduling resources within the program while identifying potential risks or opportunities for improvement.
- Write processes related to planning/scheduling activities in accordance with industry standards while ensuring all documentation is accurate/up-to-date/properly maintained.
- Interface with program management on schedule-related issues including progress reporting/risk identification/mitigation strategies etc. while participating in meetings with clients/contractors/stakeholders to discuss schedule-related issues.
- Accumulates and accesses historical data, such as performance experience, for use in maintaining a realistic basis for future planning and forecasting.
- Lead a staff who are qualified to analyze, evaluate, forecast, and report schedule status against an established baseline.
- Develops and manages an established system to show the hierarchy of plans and schedules; Keeps project and company management fully informed.
- Customizes project control systems to meet specific project requirements.
- May function as Project Control Manager on a project. In that capacity, directs and controls all of the project controls activities.
What Required Skills You’ll Bring:
- Undergraduate degree in Engineering, Technology or a combination of equivalent skills and relevant field experience
- Excellent written, verbal, communication and organizational skills
- Solid understanding of Primavera P6 scheduling software
- Proven track record leading a team to success
- 10+ years of relevant experience in similar positions in planning large infrastructure, heavy civil mega projects, or large metropolitan LRT projects

Key Responsibilities:
– Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as painting, drywall repairs, plumbing, and electrical work
– Troubleshoot and repair HVAC systems
– Respond to maintenance requests in a timely manner
– Conduct regular inspections of the property to identify potential issues
