Job description: OverviewOn behalf of our client, Grand River Personnel is recruiting for an Industrial Painter in Cambridge.We thank all those that apply, however, please note that only those qualified for the role will be contact. This position is not open to students.This is a FULL-TIME position on the Day shift (5:30am-2:30pm)Pay Rate: $25/hrResponsibilities:
- Priming, Spray painting, sandblasting deburring, painting
- Painting prep (deburring, taping)
- Set up spray equipment, perform routine maintenance
- Hydrostatic testing
- Use of cranes, forklifts, pipe threaders and small tools
- Documentation pertaining to inventory tracking, quality inspection, work orders.
- Material handling: lifting, packing, shipping, receiving
- Interact with suppliers, customers and peers effectively
- Inspect products (cabinets and doors) for quality assurance
- Maintain finishing equipment
- Safely wear required PPE (Respirator – no facial hair permitted)
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Minimum 2-3 years finishing experience in a production environment including spraying, chemical knowledge, application of manual colours, equipment training and matching customer samples for special finishes
- In-depth knowledge of stains, sealers, primers, top coats and solvents
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints
- Ability to lift 25kg safely
- Must be comfortable wearing required PPE: ie, facial respirator (clean shaven required), impact goggle and face shield for certain equipment.
- Trustworthy to work independently
- Experience with paint-spray systems, gravity guns and pressure pots systems
- Ability to meet the physical demands of the job (standing, lifting, bending, twisting)
- Good language communication skills in English – written & verbal
- CSA Approved Footwear
- Reliable, punctual and dependable – attendance is key

We are seeking an organized and detail-oriented Administrative Assistant to join our team. This role will be responsible for providing administrative support to the office staff and ensuring the office runs smoothly on a day-to-day basis.
Responsibilities:
– Answer and direct phone calls
– Greet visitors and direct them to the appropriate person or department
– Maintain office filing and storage systems
– Update and maintain databases such as contact lists, mailing lists, and client information
– Assist with the preparation of presentations, reports, and other documents
– Coordinate meetings and appointments
– Assist with the organization of company events
– Handle incoming and outgoing mail and packages
– Complete other administrative tasks as assigned
Qualifications:
– High school diploma or equivalent
– Prior experience in an administrative role is preferred
– Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
– Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
– Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
