Job description: WAREHOUSE MATERIAL HANDLERREQUIRED FOR SASKATOON, SKWarehouse Material Handlers are responsible for assembling orders for customers and delivery units. Responsibilities also include sorting, counting, and organizing materials in the warehouses and outdoor storage yard in all weather conditions.RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Load, unload and move building materials by hand and various material handling equipment.
- Conduct inspections, paperwork, cycle counting
- Place building materials into designated warehouse/yard positions
- Pick/assemble customer/delivery orders
- Operate mid to large size sit-down counterbalance propane forklift trucks
- Serve “Pick Up” Customers
- Load/unload trucks
- Perform warehouse housekeeping duties
- Take photos of incoming deliveries and customer pick-ups
REQUIREMENTS:
- Valid forklift license
- Previous experience working in a warehouse
- Previous experience operating a sit-down counterbalance propane forklift
- Able to regularly lift up to 75 lbs for extended periods
- Able to regularly stand, bend, lift and move repeatedly during shifts
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Able to successfully pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol screening
- Ability to work both indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions
WORKING CONDITIONS:
- Full-time, year-round employment
- Physically demanding work (lifting heavy, bulky building materials including drywall and roofing supplies)
