The Manager of the IPD/ANMRC Support Branch will be responsible for managing the project interests of the Science and Technology Mission during the design, construction, and commissioning phases of the project. This includes building and leading a team through these phases and transition to Operations. The Manager will hire staff as needed to support the project based on needs through the different stages of the project. The Manager will work closely with the Director of Hot Cell Development in the Capital Mission.What will you be doing!

  • Ensuring ANMRC is built for purpose to meet all S&T Mission needs. These responsibilities are met through the establishment of following CNL hiring guidelines safe working practices, personal development, and oversight.
  • The adherence to the requirements of all licences, permits, regulations, and any applicable federal and provincial legislation.
  • Implementing a Conduct of Operations program that complies with CNL’s management system, and ensuring the facility will be operated in compliance with the program.
  • Resource Management including resource planning, recruitment, and the appointment and authorization of Facility Managers.
  • Development and implementation of the Systematic Approach to Training (SAT) program.
  • Financial performance against the business objectives.
  • Other duties as assigned by your manager.

What we are looking for:

  • Must hold a university degree in science or engineering, or equivalent combination of education, knowledge, and experience.
  • Must have a minimum of four years of experience in the operation or maintenance of nuclear facilities, which includes supervisory experience. This should include experience with the application of CAN/CSA N286 requirements, and the application of radiation protection principles.
  • Project knowledge is an asset.
  • Must hold or be able to obtain a Level 2 (Secret) security clearance.
  • Experience and ability to identify and quantify risks and develop and execute mitigation plans.
  • Organizational knowledge and experience in reaching out to corporate groups is an asset.
  • Understanding of Human Performance fundamentals is an asset.

Security clearance eligibility required: Level 2 Secret which has a minimum requirement of 7 years of verifiable history in Canada, Australia, New Zealand, United States and/or the United Kingdom . Job Description
