  • Read Blueprints, Spot Welding, gasketing Machine
  • Perform laser and spot welding on various metal components, ensuring precision and adherence to technical specifications.
  • Conduct sub-assembly tasks, including fitting, aligning, and securing metal parts before welding. (mig or tig, weld and paint)
  • Inspect welded joints and assemblies for defects, ensuring quality control standards are met.
  • Utilize welding equipment safely and effectively, performing routine maintenance as required.
  • Painting:
  • Prepare metal surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and applying primers.
  • Apply paint finishes using spray guns or other painting techniques, ensuring even coverage and adherence to specifications.
  • Inspect painted surfaces for imperfections and make necessary touch-ups.
  • Maintain painting equipment and work area, ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
  • Quality Control:
  • Conduct visual and measurement inspections of completed welds, assemblies, and painted components.
  • Ensure all finished products meet the company’s quality standards and customer specifications.
  • Identify and report any defects or issues to the Production Supervisor.
  • Safety and Compliance:
  • Follow all safety procedures and guidelines, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  • Comply with all company policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
  • Collaboration:
  • Work closely with team members and other departments to ensure smooth workflow and on-time delivery of products.
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors and colleagues regarding progress, issues, and solutions.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: Minimum of 1 year in welding, painting, and sub-assembly in a manufacturing environment, with specific experience in laser and spot welding preferred working experience as a powder coater in a manufacturing setting.
  • Skills:
  • Proficiency in MIG, TIG, and/or spot welding techniques.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and welding symbols.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Knowledge of paint mixing, application, and curing processes.
  • Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 50 pounds, and work in various positions, including bending and reaching.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with exposure to heat, fumes, and noise.
