• Actively participate in the design and preparation of drawings and specifications
• Produce structural construction drawings
• Assume responsibility for respecting the provisions of the quality-assurance system
• Solve technical issues that require research and in-depth analysis
• Design and prepare structural models and drawings (wood, steel and reinforced concrete framing) using REVIT and AutoCAD software
• Oversee coordination with other disciplines (mechanical processes, architecture, electromechanics, civil engineering)
• Train and provide guidance for junior technicians

• Assist in verifying shop drawings

Qualifications

• Diploma of Collegial Studies (DCS) in Civil Engineering, Architecture or equivalent
• Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in industrial and/or commercial / institutional / residential structure
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in the Canadian market
• Mastery of 3D Design software applications REVIT, AutoCAD
• Knowledge of Solidworks, Inventor, Navisworks, Advanced Steel and Plant 3D software a considerable asset
• Experience working with point clouds, a considerable asset
• Experience in structural drawing
• Familiarity with structural design norms and standards
• Familiarity with Building Information Modeling / BIM is an asset
• Valid driver’s licence and access to a vehicle
• Proficiency in French (oral and written)
