  • Inspect welded joints and assemblies for defects, ensuring quality control standards are met.

  • Painting:
  • Prepare metal surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and applying primers.
  • Apply paint finishes using spray guns or other painting techniques, ensuring even coverage and adherence to specifications.
  • Inspect painted surfaces for imperfections and make necessary touch-ups.
  • Maintain painting equipment and work area, ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
  • Quality Control:
  • Conduct visual and measurement inspections of completed welds, assemblies, and painted components.
  • Ensure all finished products meet the company’s quality standards and customer specifications.
  • Identify and report any defects or issues to the Production Supervisor.
  • Safety and Compliance:
  • Follow all safety procedures and guidelines, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).

Qualifications:

  • Experience: Minimum of 1 year in welding, painting, and sub-assembly in a manufacturing environment, with specific experience in laser and spot welding preferred working experience as a powder coater in a manufacturing setting.
  • Skills:
  • Proficiency in MIG, TIG, and/or spot welding techniques.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and welding symbols.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Knowledge of paint mixing, application, and curing processes.
  • Physical Requirements:

  • Review and author work instructions, construction inspection and test plans, technical specifications, drawings, and operation and maintenance manuals to support training development per SAT standards and execution
  • Collect and integrate OPEX and Lessons Learned from previous refurbishment campaigns
  • Provide boots on the ground coordination, technical, and administrative support for all active welding deliverables
  • Coordinate with project staff in the implementation and maintenance of weld management software (Weld Console)
  • Develop and maintain welding performance statics and communication dashboards
