We are searching for people who want to join us in building “Technology for Life”.The bilingual (French and English) Project Manager manages the installations of Workplace Infrastructure (WPI) and Monitoring projects within Canada. They act as Project Manager for WPI and other modalities, and provide advanced technical implementation, consulting, and sales support, including 3D drawings. They execute site assessments, design consulting, implementations, analysis and troubleshooting, and technical support at customer sites. Their actions and problem resolutions should support and focus on customer satisfaction and maximizing revenue.Main Accountabilities:
- Responsible for Project Management for WPI projects within Canada, including defining project organization and defines roles, creating and presenting project implementation plans with tasks and milestones and defining next steps including establishment of the project team, develops and designs proper documentation to complete project deliverables in a timely manner, and coordinating and monitoring progress to plan and adjusts plans as required.
- Acts as technical consultant in field implementations and service escalations for WPI products, and finds solutions to fulfill customer requirements.
- Attends pre-installation site visits and provides on-going technical guidance as requested by General Contractor (structural/mechanical/electrical reviews), attends pre-RFP site visits to assess the site’s technical requirements above the finished ceiling Installation Lead when 3rd party installers are utilized, including communicating technical installation requirements and managing customer communication while on-site, acts as the Commissioning Lead including troubleshooting and resolutions for deficiencies, and develops project implementation checklists to ensure all tasks are completed prior to leaving site (including 3rd party parts and services that are included in Draeger’s total scope of work)
- Reviews Datasheet and CAD drawings with the customers, including creating the 3D files for Lubeck, Germany, Draeger Global Head Office, requesting the datasheet preparation, verifying the datasheets received back with our 3D-file, looking for changes/errors, etc., reviewing and presenting Datasheets, 3D drawings and room layouts with customers.
- Works closely with Clinical and Technical peers, as well as Sales to assess customer environment, recommend technical strategy for implementation of products for optimal results to customer optimizing their use of our equipment, including preparing Technical Installation Plan per project, participating in review meetings with site, finalizing the design phase of the implementation work plan and ensuring other team members align their activities to produce the desired outcomes, and developing and updating documentation regarding pre-site requirements, including the Rough-in Documents for each WPI product
- Assists in the technical portions of RFP’s, including providing expertise and completion of technical specifications, managing special RFP requests that are technical in nature, and working with Luebeck to create the CDS request and the overall proposed solution
- Coordinates problem solving issues for the customer and Draeger, including confirming orders, coordinating invoicing, delivery, training, and service requirements, and coordinating customer needs (eg. 3D Tool, Plans and Drawings)
Education:
- Biomedical, Mechanical and/or Electrical, certification or equivalent
Related Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in lead technical support role required.
- Experience in dealing with or selling to General Contractors, Planners, C-Level, Biomed and Clinicians
Special Competencies/Certifications:
- Demonstrates aptitude for learning new technologies and/or instructing others.
- PMP or other project management experience is desirable.
- Effective communication skills (verbal and written).
- Bilingual (French and English) fluency preferred.

Working Conditions:
- This is deemed to be a Safety Sensitive position, where performance limitations (due to substance use, for example) could result in an incident or situation with the potential for high consequences. Therefore, you may be subject to post- employment drug or alcohol screenings, for example, prior to performing work at customer sites.
- Must be able to work in a hospital environment.
- Lifting and carrying objects under 25lbs. Heavier objects would require additional assistance.
