- Responsible for accurately estimating and analyzing costs associated with waterproofing activities for highrise construction.
- Conduct detailed analysis of project plans, specifications, and geotechnical reports to determine the scope of waterproofing work.
- Prepare comprehensive and accurate cost estimates by calculating material volumes, labor requirements, and equipment usage for waterproofing .
- Collaborate with project stakeholders, including engineers, architects, and subcontractors, to gather necessary information and clarify waterproofing project requirements.
- Utilize industry-standard software and tools to perform cost estimations efficiently and ensure accuracy.
- Perform detailed quantity takeoff for excavation materials and negotiate pricing with suppliers and subcontractors.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities through value engineering and propose innovative waterproofing solutions while maintaining project quality and safety.
- Prepare competitive bid proposals based on accurate cost estimations and waterproofing project requirements.
- Maintain organized project files, generate reports on cost estimates and variances, and assist in change order estimates.
- Salary $100k+ depending on experience
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field preferred.
- 4-7 years of experience in waterproofing estimation for highrise projects.
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication are required.
- Proficiency in industry-standard estimating software and knowledge of local building codes, regulations, and soil conditions is desired.
