Job description: LEMOINE is seeking a skilled Xactimate Estimator to join our disaster recovery team in response to Hurricane Milton. This critical role involves preparing detailed estimates using Xactimate software for disaster restoration projects in Tampa, Florida, and surrounding areas. As an Xactimate Estimator, you will be responsible for accurately assessing storm damage, calculating repair and restoration costs, and working closely with project managers to ensure timely and precise project scopes.Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform on-site inspections of residential, commercial, and industrial properties affected by Hurricane Milton to assess the scope of storm damage.
  • Prepare detailed and accurate estimates for restoration, repairs, and mitigation using Xactimate software.
  • Collaborate with project managers, insurance adjusters, and clients to finalize estimates and project budgets.
  • Develop comprehensive restoration scopes, including labor, materials, and equipment costs.
  • Provide ongoing revisions and updates to estimates as new information becomes available or as work progresses.
  • Ensure estimates meet industry standards and are aligned with client and insurance requirements.
  • Work with restoration teams to monitor job progress and ensure that work is completed according to the approved estimate.
  • Document and organize site visits with photos, notes, and accurate measurements, ensuring thorough documentation of damage and required repairs.
  • Communicate project details, including timelines, budgets, and changes, to clients and internal teams.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and new features within Xactimate and other restoration software.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience as an Xactimate Estimator in the restoration or construction industry.
  • Proficiency in Xactimate is required; experience with DASH or similar software preferred.
  • In-depth knowledge of building codes, construction practices, and restoration processes.
  • Strong understanding of property insurance claims and estimating procedures.
  • Preferred certifications: IICRC WRT (Water Damage Restoration Technician), ASD (Applied Structural Drying Technician), and other relevant industry credentials.
  • Ability to conduct accurate measurements, write clear estimates, and provide detailed scopes of work.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with the flexibility to adapt to shifting priorities.
  • Availability to work in disaster-affected areas, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  • Willingness to travel to different locations within storm-affected regions.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to conduct site visits in potentially hazardous and storm-damaged areas.
  • Must be able to lift and carry equipment up to 30 lbs.
  • Ability to climb stairs, ladders, and navigate construction sites.
