- Provide cost estimating services to the business units. This includes understanding the scope of work, preparing detailed cost estimates, providing advice, guidance and direction on a wide range of projects (Civil/ Electrical, Mechanical/ l&C projects in a nuclear environment)
- Develop conceptual, preliminary and release quality engineering and construction cost estimates Develop project basis of estimates, prepare project estimated based on available information
- Develop project take-offs and equipment counts based upon the specifications/ drawings and include safety & security factors for nuclear projects
Skills and Qualifications
- Requires estimate preparation experience of 5+ years
- Requires experience associated with project estimate classification system
- Requires experience in engineering and construction management concepts, methods and techniques
- Requires experience in project design, construction, rehabilitation and modification to appreciate the spectrum of work situations surrounding major projects and in particular to generating facilities
- Requires an understanding of generating facility planning, engineering, construction and operating practices including costing and scheduling practices and the use of relevant software
