Here’s what you will do as a Workspace Designer/Furniture Specifier:
We are looking for an experienced Workspace Designer and Furniture Specifier to join our existing Design Team. Our business is growing rapidly and our projects keep getting bigger, so we need another strong player on our team!

  • Work closely with our sales team to understand project needs, assess job sites and project timelines
  • This role is focused on product specifications (including furniture and wall systems), space planning, preparing presentation materials including: 2D/3D furniture layouts and colour renderings
  • Work with sales team to prepare client programming data and workplace needs analysis
  • Produce installation drawings for our install team with project specific notes and on-site information including coordination of electrical/cabling requirements
  • Project review of product specifications to ensure accuracy
  • Conduct on-site furniture inventories and provide product reconfiguration layout when required
  • Guide clients in selecting interior finishes including flooring, colours, fabrics, materials
  • Assist with preparing responses for tenders and Request for Proposals (RFP’s)
  • Organize and maintain resource library to keep product literature, fabrics and finishes up to date and complete
  • Ongoing product training and education with major suppliers both virtually and in person

Here’s what you’ll need to be successful:

  • Diploma or degree in Design or Architecture or relevant field;
  • Minimum 2-4 years’ experience in a similar role at another dealership;
  • Working knowledge of Ontario Building Code and ADA accessibility guidelines an asset;
  • Proficiency in design software (AutoCAD, Project Matrix, CET Designer) and rendering software (SketchUp, Revit) and MS Office Suite is required;
  • Ability to interpret architectural documents and translate client needs into design solutions;

Key ResponsibilitiesReporting to the Chief Engineer:
