Join us in delivering sustainable wastewater management, integrating your innovative ideas into projects that make an impact.Job DescriptionAECOM is searching for a Municipal Water/Wastewater Project Manager for full-time employment that can be based in London, ON (preferably) or in another one of our South Western Ontario offices (Hamilton and Kitchener).The responsibilities include but not limited to the following:

  • Perform assignments requiring application of standard process calculations, techniques, procedures and criteria to carry out engineering tasks related to municipal water and wastewater treatment process design and construction administration activities. These assignments are designed to further develop judgment and understanding of professional and ethical responsibilities
  • Work under supervision of a project manager or senior-level team member
  • Perform municipal wastewater treatment plant site investigations, data collection and analysis activities
  • Prepare technical memoranda, and contribute to preliminary and detailed design reports
  • Prepare permitting applications for local regulatory agencies
  • Participate in wastewater engineering/process design activities including preparation of design calculations, equipment sizing and selection, process layouts, engineering specifications and cost estimates
  • Work collaboratively on multidisciplinary design teams and assist with design coordination tasks
  • Participate in contract administration services during the construction of wastewater infrastructure and facilities
  • Assist in commissioning activities related to wastewater treatment process start-up

QualificationsMinimum Requirements :

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Environmental or Chemical Engineering
  • 8+ years of process design and project management experience in municipal water, wastewater, pumping stations, and infrastructure related projects.
  • Registered in Ontario as P.Eng., or eligible to receive P.Eng. certification within 6-12 months of hiring
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license

Preferred Qualifications :

  • Municipal Water/Wastewater Project Management experience
  • General understanding of instrumentation and process controls
  • Experience in Ontario is considered an asset
  • Good working knowledge of industry standard and local municipal standards and guidelines are considered an asset
  • Proficient in common desktop packages, i.e. Word, Excel, MS Project, MS PowerPoint
  • Strong organizational, interpersonal, problem solving and analytical skills
  • Motivated, team player, independent, organized with strong business acumen
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Proven ability to write winning proposals and obtain new work
