Surerus Murphy Joint Venture is seeking a Project Engineer to support pipeline works on the Eagle Mountain Pipeline. The Project Engineer oversees and coordinates the project’s engineering function including the coordination, interpretation, and implementation of design, and delivery of expertise to the Project Management Team and project-based engineering teams.   • Maintain close contact with the Project Director, Project Manager, and all required subcontractors and consultants during planning to ensure plans contain adequate information and meet established schedule, cost, and productivity objectives.
  • Support Field Engineering Team and provide support for technical field construction issues.
  • Coordinate with the Engineering and GIS department to ensure knowledge transfer and maintenance of technical best practices.
  • Execute day-to-day engineering activities including assessment of permanent and temporary works design requirements and the appointment of suitable internal and/or third-party resources to satisfactorily complete the work.
  • Develop and issue drawings and documents supporting pipeline construction including hazardous slopes plans, crossing plans, grade plans, grade design, ditch design, and hydrotest plans.
  • Promote best practice in health, safety, and environmental matters in conjunction with the HSE department.
  • Take a personal interest in identifying, coaching, and developing junior engineering staff.
  • Provide operational, strategic, and contractual advice and service to bid preparation and project management when associated with design management and engineering.
  • Inform management of project engineering team activity and progress achieved.
  • Ensure that all changes in Client/Company standards are captured reviewed and briefed out to all project staff who have safety critical involvement.
  • Effectively allocate project resources to ensure optimum delivery and maximum return while managing risk.
  • Oversee that the project is constructed and documented in accordance with the contract documents and good engineering practices.
  • Assist with the scopes of work, RFI, change notice, and bid package development.
  • Solicit and task manage subcontractors and suppliers.
  • Assist in managing and reviewing the progress of subcontractor’s construction schedules.
  • Coordinate and monitor schedule updates, invoices, and submittals.
  • Actively participate in subcontractor project orientation, project administration, coordination, and close-out.
  • Build effective relationships with customers, design team, subcontractors, and suppliers, that reflect and support company core values and meet or exceed the customer’s expectations.
  • Participate in the preparation of construction schedules and milestones and monitor the projects progress against the established project schedule.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering (mechanical or civil preferred).
  • A minimum of 7 years experience in project engineering, design, construction, or other relevant roles is required.

  • A minimum of 4 years experience in major pipeline construction is required.

  • Perform routine maintenance such as drywall repair, painting, carpet/floor cleaning, plumbing, ventilation, cooling, heating, caulking, etc
  • Contact trades persons for major repairs.
  • Perform minor adjustments on heavy room furniture, fixtures and other items in the hotel
  • Routine maintenance jobs
  • Perform duties of the company’s preventative maintenance program
  • Report major repair needs to the Hotel General Manager
  • Assist in other areas of the hotel as needed, such as collecting/emptying waste, washing windows, interior walls and ceilings
  • Power tool usage
  • Other duties as required

Description:

Brunet is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Assistant Store Manager for their location in Surrey, BC. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in retail management and a passion for providing exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

– Assist the Store Manager in overseeing all aspects of store operations, including sales, inventory management, and employee training
– Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction by providing personalized service and resolving any customer concerns or complaints
– Monitor sales performance and implement strategies to drive revenue growth
– Train and mentor staff to ensure they are delivering a consistent and positive customer experience
