Job description: Estimating Coordinator – RebarAre you highly organized individual with a background in estimating and quantity takeoffs?We are currently seeking an estimating coordinator to join our team and bring their expertise in estimating and managing the companies bid board. The right individual will have the chance to work with our experienced team and implement proven methods to monitor and analyze performance of estimated projects.Duties and Responsibilities:– Oversee and coordinate the companies bid board– Continuously hunt for new project opportunities, tenders and prequalification’s– Manage the trade invititation process– Maintain a data base to measure wins/losses and to track performance– Work closely with senior company leadership to prioritise opportunities and tenders– Analyze project plans and specs and coordinate with project team to confirm full scope– Establish estimating standards for all future estimates based on best practices and analysis– Identify risks and how to mitigate– Liase with various teams to ensure adherence to project scope and delivery timelines– Review estimates from contracted estimators to ensure adherence to scope and check for potential mistakes– Build estimates and ensure accurate quantity takeoffs– Perform follow-up calls and email– Manage project “Hand off” on all successful bids– Assist with project planning– Assist with estimating change orders and change directivesRequirements:– Post secondary education– 2 years of rebar estimating experience would be preferred– Expert ability to read and understand construction drawings, addenda and specifications– Proven level of knowledge with estimating systems, bid preparation and execution– Strong computer knowledge of Microsoft 365– Experience working with Bluebeam– Knowledge of ASA Rebar estimation software would be an asset– Strong verbal and written communication skills– Highly organized and focused– In office work.
