We are seeking a digital leader to join our team and take on a central role in the delivery of our major infrastructure projects across Canada.We are seeking a forward-thinking BIM Leader to spearhead our Building Information Modeling initiatives within complex infrastructure projects. - Develop and implement comprehensive BIM strategies for Alternative Delivery (P3) projects, ensuring alignment with project goals and industry best practices.
- Lead the management and coordination of BIM processes across all project stages, from conceptual design through to construction and operational handover.
- Facilitate the integration of BIM technologies with AI and digital twins to optimize project outcomes and enable advanced predictive analytics and scenario planning.
- Champion the use of the Metaverse for immersive stakeholder engagement, virtual collaboration, and enhanced project visualization.
- Ensure robust data management practices, including the secure and efficient exchange of data across platforms and stakeholders, adhering to ISO 19650 standards.
- Oversee API integrations between BIM software and other enterprise systems to streamline workflows and improve data consistency.
- Conduct training and development sessions to enhance the BIM capabilities of the project team and stakeholders.
- Monitor industry trends and advancements in BIM and related technologies, continuously improving internal processes and capabilities.
- Acting as the intermediary between designers, contractors, owner so that a project remain efficient and effective.
- Engaging with capture teams by providing BIM subject matter expertise on Alternative Delivery Projects and Enterprise Critical Pursuits.
- Assessing the current BIM state and maturity of digital and design on projects.
- Work with complex BIM stakeholder environments to develop project BIM standards and specifications.
- Working closely with BIM coordinators, who are responsible for producing project information models.
- Ensuring that BIM execution plans are produced and maintained for each project.
- Training or upskilling colleagues in specific software programs.
- Ensuring staff have access to the tools and equipment they need.
- Driving the implementation of digital information plans and strategies.
- Working knowledge of ISO 19650 standards suite and related BIM standards
QualificationsMinimum requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or engineering technologist diploma + 8 years of relevant experience or Technical Diploma + 10 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education, including senior BIM leadership in the Transportation infrastructure AEC space.
- 8+ years experience in BIM management on large-scale, multi-disciplinary P3 projects.
- 8+ years experience working with multi discipline design projects with Autodesk Construction Cloud.
- 8+ years experience with Revit and Civil3D.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Automated design using Dynamo, Orkestra and Grasshopper.
- Integration (API Microservices).
- Data Management.
- Critical thinking to identify issues, present solutions and follow through to ensure completion.
